DESCRIPTION | This course introduces students to economics. It includes two parts: microeconomics and macroeconomics. The part of microeconomics covers supply, demand, and market equilibrium, the optimal decision of consumers and firms, different market structures, public good and externality, and the rationale for government intervention etc. The part of macroeconomics includes measuring aggregate economic activities, consumption and investment, money and financial intermediaries, aggregate demand, aggregate supply and business cycles, macroeconomic stability policy, and economic growth. |
